In my particular case, it was resolved. My case may have been unique.

We resolved the problem by doing two things so we don't know which one fixed it, and I didn't want to spend more time figuring it out.

We changed the sign.exe for the most recent one at the time(4.9.1).

Try updating your sign.exe, if it doesn't work read below.

The second is little more complicated

I have two domains, 1 native and 1 mixed. For some reason sign.exe was indentifying my users as being part of the wrong domain.

The exact error was:

"No data found for danielle.s in GC or in alternative domain specified in registry."

Danielle was part of domainA, but she was beeing identified and as Danielle in DomainB where there was no such account.

All the information was in the log files under the status monitor.

If this is the case let me know I can post what we did.

I could not figure out the two domain issue--I am having the same problem, except both of my domains are mixed mode. I did update the sign.exe but that did not work. Can you post your solution? I'm against a deadline (end of today) for rollout & have been getting stuck trying to figure this out.
thanks! Smile

In the cockpit go to application settings --> advenced technical settings.

Make sure the correct domain is entered properly.

LDAP://DC=yourdomain,DC=net

Next click on a signature (anyone), in the menu up top, find manage data sources and click on it.

Select you active directory data source on the left and on the bottom under special root context, enter the same as above.

LDAP://DC=yourdomain,DC=net

Click on save.

now run Sign.exe from any users who previously had the problem.

thanks for the response. That took care of the issue. I just have to have the remaning users reboot so they can authenticate to the NETLOGON folder & they''re good to go.

Thanks again.
