Receiving the following message:

Status: 6500: C:\Documents and Settings\yostp\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures\MVA.htm, 429, ActiveX component can't create object

We have deployed these signatures to 100+ workstations with the same configuration. These are new workstations that have just been setup.

What can be done to resolve this message so that the signatures will install?

Debugging the client should provide the answer - or please post the debug log here.

Continue to debugging client ...

I would look at updating MDAC on client.

The MDAC version is the same as on all the other machines it was installed on.

I advised you to update MDAC, but in meant update/repair ... Wink

You properly have a corrupt MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) installation on the computer.

Please follow this procedure to repair MDAC.

Try Google these words; "ActiveX component can't create object MDAC" and you will find many hits.

I attempted to update/repair MDAC, but both the machines this was happening on began having other problems. We wiped them and reloaded the operating system and it resolved all the issues.

Thanks
