|
|
Email recipients have been advising that for some reason, emails sent from our office are taking a very long time to download/open. The only thing I could thnk that would cause this was the campaign we have attached.
However, when I attempted to view the campaign module within Cockpit, I received an error stating:-
NO CAMPAIGN TABLE CANNOT OPEN DATABASE". IT MAY NOT BE A DATABASE THAT YOUR APPILCATION RECOGNISES, OR THE FILE MAY BE CORRUPT. (-2147467259).
The settings database is configured correctly, and is recognised when i hit 'test'.
I have reinstalled the cockpit software, but to no avail.
UPDATE
Have now reinstalled and entered new version 5 licence keys, but keep getting message CANNOT OPEN DATABASE. |

| I have now reinstalled again, and I cannot even licence the program. Message appears as soon as I select SAVE KEY. |

I do not know. We joined you about 3 months ago, so I would guess whichever version you had made available for download then???
I have not attempted to reinstall/upgrade since!! |

Please try and connect to your standard settings DB in your local install folder.
File -> Settings Database, then browse to C:\program files\office addon\eMailSignature\settings.mdb.
If default settings DB works without errors, your settings DB is corrupt.
If also the default DB show errors, then your Cockpit installation is corrupt.
Is the default settings DB OK? _________________ </Jesper> | Manage Email Signatures from your Desktop | Test Email Signature in All In-boxes | Email Signature Showcase |

I have reinstalled Cockpit & created a brand new settings.mdb of which can be seen successfully, but still receive the error.
Any other ideas? |

Received both settings DB's and connected my Cockpit to both without getting any errors.
I have browsed campaigns in both DB's without getting errors.
Your shared settings DB has no campaigns active as you target campaigns to groups, but you have no AD groups imported.
What do you do to create the error?
Please install Cockpit on PC and not on Server. _________________ </Jesper> | Manage Email Signatures from your Desktop | Test Email Signature in All In-boxes | Email Signature Showcase |

Cockpit is installed on my office PC. I access the new installation, and then choose to deploy a signature to individual users. For the time being this is just one of the default signatures for testing purposes. I choose the signature, highlight my own name, and then choose save. There is inititally a saved message, but then I receive a cannot open database error.
This is extremely annoying & frustrating as there have been no changes to any signatures and the cockpit has not even been accessed for the passed 2 months. |

| In additio0n, the reason you do not see any campaigns/AD info is because they are the brand new settings.mdb files that were created after reinstallation, yet I still receive the error with these. |

I attempted to view the campaigns within my Cockpit like you described earlier. No errors.
Now, please describe step-by-step what you click to create the error.
If I can re-create the symptom, it's a DB error - else it's your Cockpit installation that is corrupt.
Did you install on Vista PC and remembered to run as administrator. _________________ </Jesper> | Manage Email Signatures from your Desktop | Test Email Signature in All In-boxes | Email Signature Showcase |
