Country/Region is not pulled for all countries

China and many other countries are not pulled to HTML email signature using below code;
Code:
{$$COUNTRY('((Country/Region))')$$LANGUAGE('GB')$$}


Also error on RTF/TXT where only the ISO country code is pulled.

Is this article incorrect?

China
Taiwan
South Korea
North Korea
Ukraine
South Africa
