General Information about upgrading eMailSignature
    Major upgrades (version x) is included in your software maintenance subscription.
    Minor upgrading (version x.x) is free of charge and you can use your existing license key.

    Contact us (info@brandedmails.com) to get a new license key.

    We wish you best continued success with eMailSignature!

How to see which version?
    Open eMailSignature > Diagnostics, Status Monitor.

    The console version and version of Sign.exe should always match;

Upgrading from version 7.x
  1. The new version can be installed over the previous version 7.x on your computer, it is not required to remove the old version before installing the update.

    Download and install latest version here.
    This software package includes settings.mdb and Sign.exe.

  2. Copy Sign.exe to NETLOGON or where users execute it.
    Sign.exe is found in \program files\eMailSignature\ where eMailSignature is installed.

  3. Open Status Monitor and check that users are using correct version of Sign.exe when they logon (Diagnostics menu). You're done!

Upgrading from version 5.x
  1. Upgrading from version 5, the back-end database must be updated.

    Copy connection string to the database (File menu > Settings Database):


  2. Find your license key for version 7. Version 5 license key will not work ...

  3. Uninstall eMailSignature version 5.

  4. Download and install latest version here.
    This software package includes settings.mdb and Sign.exe.

  5. Paste connection string to the database (eMailSignaturet > Setup, Change Database) - Test connection and then Save:


  6. Paste your version 7 license key (eMailSignature > Setup, License key).

  7. Upgrade your database


      Using default Access settings database > Please follow this upgrade guide.

      Double-click video for full view


  8. Check that all tables are OK in your database (eMailSignature > Diagnostics, Check Settings Database Consistency).

  9. Copy Sign.exe to NETLOGON or where users execute it.
    Sign.exe is found in \program files\eMailSignature\ where the eMailSignature is installed.

  10. Open Status Monitor and check that users are using correct version of Sign.exe when they logon (eMailSignature > Diagnostics). You're done!
