Hi

We have recently deployed email signature 5.0 however we are having a few users reported as failed, the errors we are getting are:

Failed to delete registry key: '-2147483647',section: 'software\ms\office\11.0\common\mailsettings',Key: 'TextFontSimple'

The signature script was run mannually at first as we were having a issue with the GPO and these issues did not appear till a week after the Group policy was sorted.

has anyone got any ideas as to waht the issue is? i have tried to check the log file for the users but they appear blank.

all users using outlook 2003.

Hi,

This is unusual, as port of setting up your GPO, have you restricted your users from being able to modify the registry? When eMailSignature runs it does store some settings in the registry and the error would seem to suggest the problem lies with accessing this.

More information can be found by running a local debug on one of the failed users, please follow the instructions here

Please post the reply for me to see

Thanks

Hi Dave,

Here is the debug log, ive looked at our GPO's and nothing should be restricted in the registry plus i applied the degug reg settings as the user and these were applied.

Thanks

Hmm, I cannot see anything out of the ordinary on here, however the log file does not look complete. Please could you copy this into a txt file and email it to me at dc@officeaddon.com so I can have a better look.

Could you also attach a copy of the status monitor log for the same user so I can compare.

Thanks

Please delete your RTF format signature as this seems to be causing the problems. Then run sign.exe again. Please let us know if that helps.

Thanks.
