|
|
We are running sign.exe through an application
launcher called WinInstall instead of through the login script. The
application launcher package runs only for the people who are a member of a certain Active Directory group. This is running fine. However, the "for groups" settings in the eMailSignature cockpit are not being applied. Signatures are only being applied based on the "for all" settings. Is there a way to use the "for groups" settings when running sign through an application launcher?
After additional testing, I am not sure that Wininstall has anything to do with the groups. It appears that since we upgraded to 4.8.7, we cannot get a signature to be applied based on a group. _________________ Renee Beck

Thank your for your reply.
Please, can you send a log file for a user where it does not work? We want to be able to identify where it might go wrong and wy it does it.
Thanks _________________ </Bjarne> | Test Email Signature | Showcase

I am pasting a log file for two users. The first is bogerr and she is a member of chl_esignature. This is an active directory group that was renamed from chl_newsignature to chl_esignature. The group is not applying properly for anyone in this group.
The second user is dunns and he is a member of cls_esignature. This group is NOT a renamed group in active directory. And, it is working properly.
If you need any additional information, just let me know. Thanks, Renee

Can you please delete and reimport the new group? I believe that is the issue. _________________ </Bjarne> | Test Email Signature | Showcase

We have already tried this. And, we have tried using a different AD group and importing it into emailsignature and we still have the same problem. _________________ Renee Beck
