How does eMailSignature solution manage our corporate email signatures?
All Outlook settings are database driven and your email client features are preserved - No installation on any servers or clients!
eMailSignature is as good as native in the sense that it deploys the signatures into each user's Outlook and Outlook Web Access in the same way as if users had created the signatures themselves. In other words, signatures deployed by eMailSignature works as Outlook and OWA auto-signatures. This means you do not have to install any software on your servers or clients.
eMailSignature consists of three components:- The admin interface, the Cockpit, in which you design email signatures and manage deployment.
- The settings DB where all information are stored, e.g. email signatures, general Outlook settings, deployment settings, license key etc.
- A small executable, Sign.exe, which contains all the program logic and being responsible for deploying email signatures to Outlook (or Notes).
Sign.exe identifies users Outlook versions, their Windows logon name and deploys from the settings DB.
Sign.exe also provide deployment status so the administrator is able monitor the deployment on the clients.
Read/Write access to the settings DB is required.
You can run Sign.exe from your NETLOGON, using GPO or KIXX - or even from your Windows startup folder (small businesses).
