Hi,

I am using Outlook 2007 and my exchange server is hosted so I dont have access to it nor do I have any other contacts on it. I am trying to get the software to work with outlook but it just does not work! I am clearly doing something wrong but I cant seem to understand what, I get an error saying that the data source cannot validating domain etc. What can I do? is this software not compatable for me then as I dont have an inhouse exchange server just a hosted on?

Thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

With eMailSignature there is no need for Exchange Server to Manage your email signatures. And it's compatible with Outlook 2007.

By default all standard email signatures are linked to Active Directory. Make sure AD is accessible or change data source in Mange Data Sources and update field names in your email signatures.

Did you follow Quick Guide in the download section of this forum?

Please go to Status Monitor, right click and post log file here.

If no user are registered after running Sign.exe, the debug here - and post your log for further analysis.

Thanks
Jesper

Hi,

I dont know if I am just being really stupid here but I just cannot get your program to work with outlook 2007. I dont understand the active directory bit. I am either missing something or I am being really stupid. None of the guides seem to refer to a single user who does not have a corporate directory of users.

Unfortunately, a single user is not our target segment.

When you are not on a corporate network, you need to change the default data source from Active Directory to a DB containing your information. You need to link to at least one field in your database.

In your case, your DB could be MS Access.
Reading this FAQ will answer your question why a data source is needed.

And here you find desciption how to setup Access Data Source.

Hi,
Thanks for the help but alas it is not working, I have decided to get rid of Office 2007 and put 2003 back on, I can then just copy and paste any signatures that I have created via HTML back into outlook 2003. It seems much easier that messing with access data bases and path names.

Thanks anyway, its a shame as it looks like such a good program aswell.
