The email signature works on our machines that are in our domain, but most of our machines are not in a domain and the email signature does not work. We have been trying different combinations of LDAP, but as yet have not found one that works. The error that we get is 'Data source is Active Directory trying to read root. Cannot identify validating domain. It cannot be located. Please check domain root for misspellings'.
We have tried variations on this LDAP query LDAP://DC=gcdc01,DC=guildford,DC=ac,DC=uk.
Help with identifying the correct LDAP setting would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi,
I'm not quite sure what the query is. If the PCs are not in a domain, there is not LDAP root to identify.
You can always find the domain root in Application Settings|Advanced settings in Cockpit. If you need to ploint to a specific part of the AD, you would need to know the exact name, we wouldn't know how to identify a certain part of your domain.
Is this correctly understood?
