|
|
I am wanting to free up some licenses and downloaded the License Release tool. When running this on my machine which has also the Cockpit application installed I am receiving this error in the Registry against the "LicenseReleaseErrorMessage" key of:
The DELETE permission was denied on the object 'lgdaUsers', database 'eMailSignatures', schema 'dbo'.
Have also tried this from another machine by copying the
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Office add-on\eMailSignature
with the same error appearing.
Please help |

This is because you are using the standard user to access the settingsdatabase when you use it this way, and the standard user don't have access to perform this task.
Please copy the string value in the reg key in hkcu\software\office add-on\emailsignature key CCsettingsdatabase to 'settingsdatabase'. Please make sure that your settingsdatabase key now contains logon values for the Cockpit_user.
Please confirm that this works for you.

Yes.. that has fixed the issue.... many thanks.
Finally, can this release tool be set as a scheduled task which we would run say at the end of each month? |

Thanks Jesper... have worked it out.
since you need to copy the HKCU\.... key to the registry when you want to use it from another machine, I found I needed to copy the key to the actual account that was set for the scheduled task to run.
Many thanks |
