Hello,

Corporate legal requires signatures in our company to have a certain template format, unfortunately this template usually contains 2-3 lines or more just for the company name. For instance, this is my corporate signature (with obvious parts changed for spam concerns):

Dennis Jones, MBA, MCSE, CCNA, CNA
Information Technology Area Manager /
Exchange 2003 Committee Project Manager
CBIZ Accounting, Tax and Advisory Services, LLC
&
Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.,
An Independent CPA Firm
10616 Scripps Summit Court, Suite #100
San Diego, CA 92131
Direct: xxx-xxx-xxxx
Fax: xxx-xxx-xxxx
myemailaddy@cbiz.com

To work around the limitation that AD has with a single line for the company name, I've used the Address field in AD to hold the entire company name AND the street address.

The problem is that when eMailSignature displays the address field, it seems to ignore the line feeds, resulting in a signature like this:

Dennis Jones
Information Technology Area Manager
CBIZ Accounting, Tax and Advisory Services, LLC.&Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.,An Independent CPA Firm10616 Scripps Summit Court, Suite #100
San Diego, CA 92131
Direct: xxx-xxx-xxxx
Fax: xxx-xxx-xxxx
myemailaddy@cbiz.com

Additionally, this only seems to occur in HTML and Rich Text, it looks just like it is supposed to in Plain Text.

How can I make it look correct in HTML and Rich Text?

Hi,

Many thanks for your post.

I can see your issue, but there is actually no line feed option in the address field for HTML. HTML would simply ignore this line space. Only <br> in HTML is interpreted as a line break. Compare this to creating simple HTML text in HTML shown in a browser - it would be exactly the same.

Would it be possible for you to use the other fields for this? I.e. Description, Office etc fields, as this would do the trick, and then you would have a more correct AD?

Alternatively there is another way, and that is to code it in T-SQL by using a SQL Server. You could use this data source with eth ADExport module and then get to where you want.

Thanks,
Bjarne

Hmm, our company is really large and diverse. The only way we can really work a successful deployment of your product is by having our local IT staff populate AD for us, and we have to give them a workable, easy to follow solution.

Will you consider an update for HTML/Rich Text that replaces carriage returns/line feeds with <br> when parsing fields in Active Directory? It already renders correctly in Plain Text. Unfortunately, the other fields you mentioned are being used for the things they are made for, descriptions, and offices. SQL is not really an option for us either.

We'll take this off-line and get back.
