|
OU signatures stopped working for some reason. When we have the box checked for "always use these rules" it just says that there are no signatures to display. I have switched to a backup settings.mdb from when it was working with no change.
Here's the log file:
| Quote: | ---------------- eMailSignature LOG file -------------------

- sign.exe version 7.3.0 has been run for this user.

Connection string to settings database:
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=\\austinweb\stgsignature\settings.mdb

Distinguished name set to CN=Michael,OU=Studio 10,OU=Austin,DC=austin,DC=local
9/21/2010 12:07:01 PM OU based deployment applied. If no OU rules apply, 'Default for All' will be used.
9/21/2010 12:07:01 PM OU rule used to set signatures.
-------------- eMailSignature END LOG file -----------------
- Finalised at 9/21/2010 12:07:01 PM
------------------------------------------------------------
Status: No signatures to deploy. |
The OU rule has "Studio 10" in for the "If 'OU=" field, the signatures are set for new messages and replies, and the box at the bottom is checked.
I'm not sure what changed or how to fix it. Any ideas or more information needed? We are using MS Access but it was working so I don't think that matters. |

Nothing doesn't just "stop working" out of the blue...
I suspect your Access database to be corrupt. This happens quite often for no reason at all. Would it be possible to move everything to a SQL Express?
Not sure if this is the case, but it is quite likely. Please try to repair the database from the Cockpit. There is a button which could do the trick.
Thanks. |

Did you manage to solve it?
Thanks. |

We did some account variable tweaks as a stopgap but its still not working. The database wasn't corrupt, or repairing it didn't fix the issue and neither did going back to an earlier version of the settings.mdb file from when it was working.
I don't think SQL is an option right now either.
Any other ideas? |
