Currently testing the software, and we have a requirement to have in our email signature, job titles to be all in lowercase.
Following from an earlier post
(http://www.emailsignature.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic,p,3095.html)
and adapting it be lowercase, we added the line of
<SPAN style="TEXT-TRANSFORM: lowercase">((Title))</SPAN>
which works and produces the Job Title in lowercase. However after deployment, checking the signature in Outlook 2007, the Job Title has now each leading character as being Uppercase. eg. "Business Manager" instead of being "business manager".
Also going into the Signature Directory and viewing the same html signature through internet explorer shows the line being all in lowercase as it should be.
Requirement also for the email address which appears in the signature to be lowercase also. This is really the only thing from holding us back at purchasing this software. |

Your observation is correct. Our earlier reply was also correct in Outlook 2003 which uses Internet Explorer to render HTML.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Outlook 2007 is now using Word to render HTML.
Thus, Outlook 2007 does not support Cascading Style Sheet Property TEXT-TRANSFORM.

WORKAROUND
- Update your TITLE field in Active Directory.
- Replicate AD data to MS SQL DB and use this data source.
We can assist with a scheduled replication of your AD data to MS SQL and create views with correct formatted content.

Thanks Jesper....we have found a work around.. and that is to reimport our staff job titles into the active directory all with lowercase.
Luckily we had scheduled a changing of our job titles for business reasons... so good timing.
I believe Microsoft (M$) has been hit with alot of criticism since Outlook 2007 has come out and how they now use Word to render its HTML. Not sure if they will come to their senses with the next Office release and revert it back to how it was! I do miss adding those animated gif's to emails!!!
Thanks again |

Thank you for your feed-back
Let's hope Microsoft will come to their senses in the next release, and take advantage of Internet Explorer to display Outlook HTML email messages.
Outlook 2007 is like a Ferrari with a small VW engine inside ... It looks great, but driven it leaves a great deal to be desired ... _________________ </Jesper> | Test Email Signature | Showcase | |
