I am trying to find a way to prevent e-mails with linked images generated in Outlook 2007 to show as attachments on mobile e-mail clients like iPhone and Android. I thought I had this figured out but Outlook always changes the http image location in IMG tag to CID and this is causing the problem (as far as I can tell). Is there any solution for this?

Any help would be great. If I am wasting my time, please let me know.

Looks as if you are not using eMailSignature software ... very simply to fix for all users with eMailSignature management software: Open your Cockpit > Signatures tab > Manage embedded images. Untick 'Check only this box .... and want to embed images'. That is the code I put into eMailSignature software. Sorry for not including the code from the signature that I am testing right now. I don't have the embedded image box checked so that does not seem to be the problem. Could it be something else?

Your email HTML is not coming from the Cockpit HTML source. Please post user log file: Cockpit > Diagnostics tab. Then I can see which settings and HTML you are using - and when you updated the client. Your default signature is set to 'Tom - New'.
This signature is using linked images as per below code from your log file.

You should definitely see linked images when using 'Tom - New' email signature - or something spooky is happening at your end when your email leaves your mail server ... Surprised
