|
|
hi
From what I have read in another post..
http://www.emailsignature.eu/phpBB2/owa-duplicating-signatures-from-laptops-t872.html
I just wanted to confirm:
If you have <img> tags in your signature and you only use OWA to access your email - it won't work because there is a bug in OWA.
there is a patch to remove the images, but you may as well just remove the image in the first place.
Does this apply to "attached" images, html img tags or both?
In other words, is there anyway you can put images in OWA messages with this product?
Also, in the Cockpit, it only shows the "Administrator" if I try to deploy it to individual users. Can it be setup to read my AD users?
Thanks |

There is a known bug in Exchange which sometimes causes OWA to add the signature twice if images are included.
This is a bug in Exchange/OWA - not in eMailSignature or signOWA.
Most of the times you can use images in OWA without any issues, but you will have to try and see if your client is buggy or not.

Users are shown when they execute Sign.exe during first run.
Following the Best Practice deployment Guide, you will see users after first run, and you can then setup individual settings if required. _________________ </Jesper> | Manage Email Signatures from your Desktop | Test Email Signature in All In-boxes | Email Signature Showcase |

Hi Jesper
Thanks for the reply. Oddly enough your "sometimes" was a great help.
I have manipulated it and I think <div width=650></div> around the whole html may have fixed it. (I can't be certain as I have done quite a lot of editing).
I am not sure in the context of OWA where the "client" is. Do you mean the browser or the "virtual" client of the Exchange server itself.
This is only an OWA deployment as the remote client uses Outlook as a POP3 client. To get sign running as the user I am going to try logging in to the server as "them" to see if it will deploy.
Thanks

I have read in multple threads that duplicate signature blocks in OWA are due to a known bug with Exchange OWA. Is there a Microsoft article on this? Do you know the KB number?
Thanks,
