Hi,

This error usually indicates that the WebDAV Server Extension has not been enabled for the server.

Please see attached image.

Kind regards, Jakob.

From your website above, it appears that you are using Forms Based Authentication. EmailSignature doesn't work with this yet.

From the link posted above, when I clicked on it, it produced a webpage like this:
http://www.petri.co.il/images/forms_based4.gif

This denotes that your exchange server is set up wth forms based authentication.
A non forms based authentication Exchange server produces a popup box asking you to login.

Referring to this page posted in the EmailSignature forum Forms based Authentication is not support yet.

http://www.emailsignature.eu/phpBB2/move-settingsdatabase-from-access-to-sql-a-few-tricks-t211,highlight,forms+based+authentication.html

So I'm guessing that's the cause of your problem.[

Not using FBA, are requiring https we get the following. (We do have a multiple domain environment and I'm using test users from both domains.)

Using the url: https://webmail.mycomp.com/exchange/
Setting signature for user: MYUSER
Mailbox name: myuser
Sending HTTP request to: https://webmail.mycomp.com/exchange/mbotero/
Returned response from server: <?xml version="1.0"?><a:multistatus xmlns:b="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/" xmlns:a="DAV:"><a:response><a:href>https://webmail.mycomp.com/exchange/myuser</a:href><a:propstat><a:status>HTTP/1.1 200 OK</a:status><a:prop><b:signaturehtml/><b:signaturetext/><b:autoaddsignature/></a:prop></a:propstat></a:response></a:multistatus>
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Problem is I have three test users and it only runs for the first one.

Hi Robert,

SignOWA uses rootDSE and defaultNamingContext to find the mail box name for the users in Active Directory. This will probably cause it to fail since it can not find the mail box names for the users belonging to other domains.

Regards, Jakob.

Please get latest sigOWA from the download section of this forum and report back if that version solves your issue.

Thanks

I download the signOWA as of 5/8/2008, 9AM EST. Now I get the following errors for my two test users:

C:\eMailSig>SignOWA.exe -v
Using the url: https://webmail.comp.com/exchange/
Setting signature for user: TEST1
Mailbox name: test1
Sending HTTP request to: https://webmail.comp.com/exchange/test1/
Failed to login to OWA. The following error occured: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
-----------------------------------
Setting signature for user: TEST2
Mailbox name: test2
Sending HTTP request to: https://webmail.comp.com/exchange/test2/
Failed to login to OWA. The following error occured: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

TEST1 users is from Domain A and TEST2 users is from Domain B. The Exchange site is Domain A.

If I manually go to the https:/webmail...... site and manually put in the credential I have in the registry it lets me view the test users mailbox.

Any idea where this error is coming from?

I noticed that in a previous post you were using a different test user (with the mail box name mbotero) where signowa worked just fine. Is signowa still working for this user?

It no longer works for anybody in either domain. Just keep getting the 401 error.

All that was changed in the new version is the way the mail box name is retrieved from the AD. Is signowa using the correct mail box names for your test users?

Also, please double check that the domain name is set correctly in the registry for signowa and that FBA is not accidentally enabled for signowa (I believe the settings are called OWADomain and OWAfba).
