Hi,

I've got the new OWA module working, but it's displaying 2 signatures exactly the same, one after the other!

Have I made a wrong setting?

This is apparently due to a known bug in Exchange OWA.

In order to accomodate this we have built in a possibility to remove images, which is causing these problems. Please create a key "OWAremoveimgtags" and set it to "1". When this is set, all <img> tags will be removed from the signatures, hence not producing double signatures.

Please get the latest signOWA to use this feature.

Thanks,
Bjarne

Hi I tried this fix, but we have gone from two logos to no logos. The text is correct and all there, but the image has gone.

I set the registry key to 1 as suggested and added the registry key into the - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Office add-on\eMailSignature. Is this correct?

I haven't yet been able to test it on the users laptop, but have run the test using OWA on the server. Possibly the re-action from their workstations will be different.

Further to my last message, I have now been able to check an email from a laptop and it is doing the same thing as on the OWA running on the server, No images are dispalyed.

What can be done?

Please post log here where laptop user have no images.

Generally speaking, you should have no problems with images in Outlook.
When you have double images in OWA, this is caused by a bug in OWA and we cannot fix that (but we showed you how to remove images).

Your OWA is now OK - but without images?

I need to see the other log in order to assist you?

Hi Jesper,

Both Logs are exactly the same. In case you need the sign.exe log, I have attached that.

The OWA now doesn't display the logo on the server using OWA or on the laptop workstations using OWA. Please let me know what other information you need.

Regards
Phil

Hi Phil,

Sorry for misunderstanding your post ... Embarassed

OWA will not show images on any clients when OWAremoveimgtags="1".

So your observation is expected.

You can try and troubleshoot why your images are shown twice in OWA. When you fix it without using eMailSignature deployment software, then try again using eMailSignature - this time with OWAremoveimgtags="0".

Hi There,

I'm having the same problem as described above.
When using the latest signowa.exe, our signature is shown 2 times.
If the registry key "OWAremoveimgtags"="1" is used, the signature is shown only one time, but without images.

How can we fix this?
We need to have a single signature with our logo.

Here is our default signature (HTML), maybe it helps you:

Code:

<FONT face=Georgia size=2>
<DIV><FONT face=Georgia></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma color=#000000>((Display_name)) </FONT></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr align=left><FONT face=Tahoma color=#000000>((Title))&nbsp;<BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr align=left></DIV>
<DIV align=center>
<TABLE height=150 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0>

<DIV dir=ltr align=left><FONT face=Georgia size=1><IMG src="http://www.our-corporate-website.com/images/logo.gif">&nbsp;</FONT> </DIV>
<TD width=341 height=150>

<P dir=ltr align=left></SPAN><FONT face=Tahoma color=#000000 size=1>&nbsp;</FONT><A title=mailto:((E-mail)) href="mailto:((E-mail))"><FONT face=Tahoma color=#000000 size=1>((E-mail))</FONT></A><BR><FONT color=#494949><FONT face=Tahoma color=#000000 size=1>&nbsp;</FONT><A href="http://www.our-corporate-website.com/"><FONT face=Tahoma color=#000000 size=1>http://www.our-corporate-website.com</FONT></A><BR></FONT></SPAN></FONT></P></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></DIV></FONT>

Thank you in advance.

We put the flag to zero in the server registry and made sure we had upgraded to the latest service packs on Server 2003 and Exchange. We are now getting signatures with a single logo most of the time. One user has reported that it is erratic - sometimes getting the correct signature and sometimes getting a second one too!

Hi Phil,

Does this mean that you fixed the problem by installing the latest service packs on your Exchange server?

Tim
