Performace issue when using outlook offline

I had this sent over to me, any ideas ?

Looked at my own desktop and found a problem with the signature.
When we we create a a message with a logo in the signature and we are not connected (offline), the Laptop is very slow. As soon as we deleted the images (logo or banner) the laptop recovers it's performance.

If you are using Outlook 2003 and linked images:

  1. Tools | Options | Mail Format | Internet Format
  2. Uncheck "When an HTML message contains pictures located on the Internet, send a copy of the pictures instead of the reference to their location"
  3. OK out of the dialogs

If you are using Outlook 2007 or 2010, we recommend using embedded images.
