Manage Email Signatures Centrally - For All Users

I am having a problem with email signature in that i have designed a new signature with a gif image. if i send a new email to my external account the image shows up greyed out. i have tried with vaious types of images and all come up greyed out.

The only solution to fix this problem is to turn off Word 2003 as my email editor.

Is there a more permanant soltion without having to turn everyone word editor off

Nick -

Just a couple of questions for you.

1. Did you design this signature in Word?
2. Looking at the code I see that you are trying to embed an image into your signature. Are you able to insert that image as a linked image?

If you used Word to design your signature there is a lot of extraneous code it puts in that will add tons of overhead to your e-mail. I would look at the possibility of re-designing my signature from the ground up using the cockpit HTML editor.

Embedded images are always going to be an issue outside of your location because the outside recipient will not have the image in the location you have defined in your code. Using an image linked to a locations on the web is much easier because Outlook can pull and render that image without having to create more overhead by attaching the embedded image, sending it, downloading it to the correct folder, and displaying it.

i have deleted those images now and got one of guys from my work who testing the signature to email you and my hotmail account to show the problem.

and yes all users ahve full access to that image path

I received you email without any image errors. Your images were embedded as intended.

Thus, I would troubleshoot mail server configuration if the problem is related to a certain domain - or reset users Outlook profile if it is related to a few users.

Or change to linked images which is more reliable.
