Reading AD for non Domain Clients

We are running both Active directory and eDirecctory but our workstations are not members of the domain, hence the cockpit software can not read AD. If i install the software on a machine that is a member of the domain the email signature works. Adding all my workstations to the domain is not an option. How can I identify my Root context in AD?

  1. Create a HKCU registry: (With the root context)

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Office add-on\eMailSignature]
    "root"="LDAP://DC=ad,DC=com"


  2. Then run Sign.exe with parameter to the settings DB.


In your Cockpit -> Aplication Settings, Advanced Technical Settings, you can set the Root for the admin user.
