|
|
Hi,
I had configured Cockpit 7.3 to use AD groups to assign different signatures. Lately I have noticed that AD groups are being ignored and default signature is assigned. The only major change was made is I have upgraded domain controllers to Windows 2008 R2. Is there a known issue with Windows 2008 R2 DCs? |

Here is the part of the user deployment log. What I see that group membership validation is not happenning:
---------------- eMailSignature LOG file -------------------
- Started at 8/18/2010 11:23:08 AM
- sign.exe version 7.3.0 has been run for this user.
------------------------------------------------------------
Connection string to settings database:
Provider=sqloledb;Data Source="Changed";Initial Catalog=emailsignature7;User Id=user;Password=password;
8/18/2010 11:23:08 AM Begin finding user DN
User path: LDAP://DC=subdomain,DC=domain,DC=net
8/18/2010 11:23:08 AM End Finddistinguishedname
User: "Username" (CN=Matsegora\, Yuriy,OU=Users,OU="City",OU="State",OU="Country",OU=Company Users,DC=subdomain,DC=domain,DC=net)
8/18/2010 11:23:08 AM License Key valid for version 7.3. Standard Edition licensed. License issued to "Company name" for 2000 users.
"Group membership validation is missing here"

Hi Yuriy,
Please check that your group names are not changed. When there is a vital change in your AD group, you must redo it in the Cockpit.
Can you please check that?

The group names are the same. In fact those groups created and maintained programatically.
Thanks. |

Can you please try to reimport a group which you are a member of and test this with one signature.
We also need to make sure that the whole dn is updated as well, and I am not sure this has happened correctly.
Thanks. |
