Hi All,

This is my first post on here and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a issue that I'm having. We have an issue when a user get there signatures they do not get there Default Signature for New Messages.

Any help would be great this is driving me mad.

This is the second time this week that I have seen this issue. Let me look into it, and I will get you an answer.

Is there any solution to this problem. I am a new user and have deployed to around 20 users, and seem to be experiencing something similar.

Everything goes well, signature for new and reply are applied, sometime later I get a call stating that the 'new mail' signature has reverted to 'none'. this has happened to three people so far. I'm looking for the connection but without any luck so far.

Are you deploying the sigs to a group or individually?

We had this exact problem and were deploying sigs to a group of users.

We went in to each individual user and forced the sig and ticked the overrule box which fixed the problem.

The problem users are in group deployment, I'll give your solution a try. Shame though I like the group option.
Many Thanks

Here's another little something I found on Microsoft's website regarding Terminal Services.......http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918561.....don't know if it will have any relevance here, but it is one possible solution.....

Also, Dave and SnopakeIT.........were you deploying your signatures to security or distribution groups in AD.............security groups can sometimes cause issues with nested groups..............as referenced in the following link: http://www.emailsignature.eu/phpBB2/why-create-a-distribution-group-instead-of-a-security-group-t260.html.

Nested groups are not supported in sign.exe. Would that explain the behaviour?

Thanks

I have the same problem, and I am deploying to individual users only, and they do not get the signature for new messages deployed, allthough I "tick" the "overrule-box".

Bjarne refers to security groups. Nested Distribution lists are indeed supported.
