We are not sending stationary down to staff and the "Use this Stationary" box is not checked, however, stationary is being deleted from users signatures, even the ones we aren't deploying. Can someone tell me why this is? Here is the log from one of the users who has complained:

Please open your SQL settings DB and validate that your Cockpit settings are saved.
SQL Settings DB -> Stationery table -> column active=0?
If active=1, your Cockpit settings are not saved to your SQL Settings DB.
The name of your SQL settings DB indicates that you either modified our script or upgraded the database. _________________ </Jesper> | Test Email Signature | Showcase

Your Cockpit stationary settings are saved successfully to your SQL settings DB.
Next step
- Please open HKCU\Software\Office add-on\eMailSignature for user css02 and check that correct settings DB is used.
- Open Outlook for user css02 and set Stationary.
- Open Cockpit Diagnostics, right click user css02 and delete user.
- Run Sign.exe again, open Outlook for user css02 and check that user created Stationary is not deleted by Sign.exe.
Stationary settings are not working for Outlook 2007 users which explains why not all your users are effected. _________________ </Jesper> | Test Email Signature | Showcase

| This is not isolated. We duplicated this on several users. I tried these recommendations already actually, except for #1, but the settings DB is correct. Any other ideas? |

Hmm ... you seem to be deploying settings that are not designed in the software ...
To eliminate any errors in your SQL settings DB, please create another DB using this script without modified anything.
The default script creates eMailSignatures DB on your SQL Server and will not conflict with your existing settings DB (i.e. eMailSignature).
Then connect your Cockpit to the new settings DB (File menu) and let me know if you can recreate the issue. _________________ </Jesper> | Test Email Signature | Showcase

I've been looking into this. I cannot really understand what seems to be the problem? Is it because you don't want to have any stationeries removed, and it removes it anyways? Or do you use silent deployment, and it removes the stationeries?
Please elaborate. Thanks. |
