|
|
Recently installed eMailSignature 4.9.0 using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. I notice that eMailSignature has taken over some functions on the emails and giving users some headaches with missing functionality.
We no longer have auto spell check and grammar checking (F7 still checks the document but the red and green lines no longer show as you type). We can no longer right mouse click and to get Synonyms or Thesaurus.
Also the Tabs have lost alignment. At the end of a row hit return and tab across they no longer line up with the Tab on line above.
Any ideas what’s gone wrong, or is this expected?

Yes this is expected, but you can easily get it back.
This is due to the fact that Word as Editor will be removed first time you run eMailSignature, but you can easily allow users to get it back by clicking the option "Allow Word as Editor" in the Outlook Settings menu.
Then the Word functionality will be back. _________________ </Bjarne> | Test Email Signature | Showcase | |

| So if we want to get rid of the known "red x" issue we have to turn off word as an editor, but if we want to use spell check, theasaurus and have tab working correctly we need to turn it back on? |

| In Outlook 2003 - correct. You can get eMailSignature to leave WaE unchanged when it has been run for the first time (General settings -> Email format). It is basically a one-off operation for the users. |

So we need to allow them to use WaE, but will we not just have the issue of the red x all over again?
Is it a case of having either one or the other issues? |
