We have recently deployed the software to the firm by putting it in the login script as suggested. Several users in each of the 5 branch offices have reported getting an error message when they login.
I was wondering if there is a problem using the Access database for 260 users spread over 5 offices and one office that uses Citrix.
The event viewer indicated that it could not find sign.exe even though the program has run for them before.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I considered changing over to SQL but if I have to recreate all the signatues and settings again I dont want to have to do that unless it is necessary! _________________ Patti Bentley

When some users get error message executing Sign.exe, it is properly because they cannot access your share holding settings.mdb.
This is what you can try:
- Check Read/Write permissions on the share holding settings.mdb.
- Change logon script to use UNC path.
We have customers using default Access DB up to 600 users, and this is not the cause of your problem. But you can always change to SQL settings DB if you like.
To have my specific recommendations:
- Please post log file for one user with error (Alt+M, right click on user).
- Please post the line (with Sign.exe and settings.mdb) you execute during users logon.
