|
|
I have done a bit of research but did not see this mentioned anywhere. Is it possible to use the conditional formatting, but to test for a specific value? So instead of IF BLANK it acts more like a IF VALUE=X? I would like to be able to use that to do a couple of different things. Put in the address by Office (IF OFFICE-Y USE ADDRESS-Y) and some extra things with the Title field.
Does anyone know? Thank you. |

Hello Justin,
the conditional text is a function that fill in a text, if the value is filled out in AD - and the whole text is left out if the value is blank. _________________ with kind regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen

| Mathias, thank you for the quick reply but I am not sure I understand. Are you saying it can only be used to test if a field is blank? |

Mathias, thank you again for the reply. I understand that use for conditional formatting. Maybe I am asking a different question. Is there any way to do a substitution based on what is found in Active Directory? For example, if someone's title in Active Directory is "Director" can we output "Founder" or something like that.
So if title="Director" output "Founder". Is that possible? |

No, that is not possible. _________________ with kind regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Okay, thank you very much. Will have to rethink how I am doing things.
Maybe add down as a feature request? Not sure how the process goes on that, but I can think of a lot of ways that would be useful.
Thanks again and have a good one. |

Justin,
This can be done in another way than by using our Built-in functions. Drop me a PM if you like to know more.
Thanks,
Bjarne |
