How can we allow users to change their name and title through the ADUpdate module. Those fields appear to be greyed out by default, so we have no way to enable the update for users. We have already given permission to the users to read and write public info as mentioned in the documentation.

The idea behind ADUpdate is to allow easy update without changing default AD permissions. The fields that are grayed out cannot be updated by users without IT changing AD permissions.

I know this does not help you.
I just wonder why you expected Name and Title could be updated Question
Which documentation are you referring to Question

Arrow WORKAROUND (Wonder if this is will do)
This is a feature not yet released but still hidden in the latest version of the Cockpit (i.e. 4.9.0).
Open Cockpit -> Phone Book . Find a user and double click the large letter. Then a Update button will appear and you can now save the changes you made - if your AD permissions allow it ... Wink .

The documentation located on the support page for ADUpdate shows those boxes as items that can be selected for user update within Cockpit. The very bottom of the support page says:

"You only need to grant the users right to read public and write public in AD."

I assumed that that meant "public information" for User Objects via the Delegation Wizard.

I believe this is the page you are referring to.

We are transferring these pages to this support site and the pages are no longer updated - but you cannot know that ... Embarassed
