We bought eMailSignature some time ago but I never managed to get OWA working.

We have just migrated to a brand new DC / exchange server and I thought what better opportunity to try and get OWA up and running.

I have got much further this time and feel I am only one step away from success but I just can't get there.

I am getting the error message "The remote server returned an error: <401> Unauthorised"; elsewhere on here it suggests that is down to a UID / Password error for the account running signOWA.exe. but this is categorically not the case.

Here are my registry entries: -

OWAdomain - OURDOMAIN (excluding the extension)
OWAfba - 0 (not using forms based auth)
OWApwd - correct administrator password
OWAssl - 1
OWAuid - administrator
OWAurl - hostname.ourdomain.co.uk:444/exchange
OWAusers - simon (i.e. me for test purposes)
Settingsdatabase - Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=\\server\share\Email Signature\settings.mdb (confirm correct)

I thought it might be something to do with using port 444 but when I remove this I get this error message instead: -

"The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseStatusLine"

One other thing, because I have downloaded v5.0.0 the licence has taken but in various places it tells me I need a new Key for v5 and it seems that because of this I cannot obtain a log by right clicking in the Status Monitor.

I appreciate this is asking a lot but I am away for a while from today and would like to get it nailed before I go so can anybody help?

Thanks and regards

Simon

Believe you will find your answer in the very first post in this forum;
OWA Error Codes

Quote:
401: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
Make sure you have the key OWfba set to 0 and not 1 if you are not using FBA. It cannot log you on. Please ensure that you have the correct security permissions to do this.

Question Please ensure that you have the correct security permissions to do this. OK now?

Exclamation Please contact info@officeaddon.com to get v.5 license key as per this instruction.

Thanks Jesper. Unfortunately I am off now for 2 weeks so I will pick it up when I get back.

Thanks and regards
