|
|
Hi
I am currently getting the error "Failed to login to OWA. The following error occured: The remote server returned
an error: (401) Unauthorized." when running signOWA.exe
I am using Exchange 2003 SP2 in a front end/back end configuration with ISA 2000 performing bridging, FBA and SSL.
SSL is for external access only to the fornt end server, SSL is not required but can be used for internal access to the back end server.
Access from a web browser internally is successful using the format "http://servername.domainname.co.uk/exchange/username/" or
"https://servername.domainname.co.uk/exchange/username/"
This problem occurs whether OWAfba is 0 or 1 or if OWAssl is 0 or 1.
I have checked that the account and password in OWAuid and OWApwd is correct.
Your help would be most appreciated

|
|
Hi,
After perform the following actions, all our users get a Email Signature when creating new emails and replying/forwarding emails in OWA: -
* Created a new account (domain user account)
* Gave this account "Receive As" access to our whole Exchange organisation
* Set the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Office add-on\eMailSignature] to be as follows
"OWAssl"="1"
"OWAfba"="0"
"OWAuid"="DomainUserAccountWithReceiveAsPermission"
"OWApwd"="PasswordForDomainUserAccountWithReceiveAsPermission "
"OWAdomain"="OurDomainName"
"OWAurl"="OurBackEndExchangeServer/exchange"
"Settingsdatabase"="Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=etc"
"OWAusers"=""
* Via MSDos went to "C:\Program Files\Office add-on\eMailSignature" and ran SignOWA.exe
In the Outlook Client when any user creates a new email we get one type of signature (called TPB External) and when we reply/forward an email we get a different signature (called TPB Reply).
However, via OWA users get the same email signature (called TPB External) whether we create a new email or reply/forward to an email.
HOW DO WE GET OWA TO USE THE DIFFERENT EMAIL SIGNATURES FOR CREATING A NEW EMAIL AND REPLYING/FORWARDING EMAILS?
In the Email Signature Cockpit under "Actions --> Set Default Signatures for All" we have the following set: -
* Signature for New Messages = TPB External
* Signature for replies and forwards = TPB Reply
I look forward to hearing from you. |

Open OWA -> Can you find reply/forward in your OWA? _________________ </Jesper> | Manage Email Signatures from your Desktop | Test Email Signature in All In-boxes | Email Signature Showcase |

Hi Lou,
Exchange only supports one signature when using the OWA client. Hence the same signature will be used for new mails and for reply/forward.
Note that this is a limitation in Exchange.
