I am trying to get all the data out of my access-database, so i can import it into sql, by using the buildinsert.exe, but whenever i run this program, it terminates wit a MS error. Any other way to get data out

Copy your settings.mdb.
Run BuildInsert.exe from your Workstation.
Note: .NET 2.0 is required on your workstation.
Run script in Query Analyser on your SQL DB.
Post Error message or screen dump if you still have problems.

Jesper,
I have a customer having a few issues using the buildinsert tool, whenever he runs it, the SQL database is populated, but when he tries to query it he gets an 'Account Field Incorrect' or a 'Syntax Error'
He has .net 3.0 on his desktop, does he also need this on his SQL Server?
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Dave,
I suggest that you ask your customer to add a screendump showing the error message. That can sometimes give a hint ... |
