Manage Email Signatures centrally from your Desktop - For All Users

I found this article

I added
the reg key LDAP://DC=myservername,DC=com to the laptops and had the laptop run the proper batch file and the laptop user has access to the settings database.

I am getting this error in the status window in cockpit
Status: The root LDAP://DC=myservername,DC=com cannot be contacted. Please make sure it is correct (3001A)

Did I do everything I was suposed to?

Are your laptop users logged on to your domain?

No, the users are not logged onto the domain.
They are all using Outlook 2003 or 2007.

This will not work out of the box for your "remote" laptop users.
Sign.exe is not able to identify your laptop users in the database as they are not part of your network.

When your users are not logged on to a domain, you have to use Outlook Anywhere in order to manage their email signatures centrally.

Please contact info@brandedmails.com and include number of users please.
