|
|
In our Exchange environment we have set up "shared" mailboxes (either created new or migrated from Domino). These have been disabled in AD as they have been designed specifically for shared usage so they are not connected to an account that can be accessed by logging in. Rather the shared mailbox is accessed by an existing user who has permissions to access the shared mailbox in their Outlook Client. We've had lots of requests from various shared maillbox owners asking if it is possible to have a separate signature for that mailbox as anything they send from it adds their own signature by default. Is this possible please, if so, how? Many thanks _________________ Greetings from Down Under |

Hi Emma,
Welcome to the forums!
I suggest you manage your shared mailbox users individually.
eMailSignature > Signatures, Individual
By doing that, you can add additional email signatures - They are not the default but can be used when required:

Thanks Jesper, but aren't the names that appear in the Individual view based on those who login to their account (also appear in Status Monitor)? These shared mailboxes are disabled so they can't be logged into, so will not appear in this view.
Example: Mary Beth has an Outlook Account and logs in and can display her email signature no problem. She has access to the 'Accounts Receivable' shared mailbox with her own login. Mary Beth appears in eMailSignature > Signatures, Individual view but Accounts Payable does not.

You got it right!
As I understand it, I suggest to add Accounts Payable signature as available to Mary Beth and apply individual management.
Then she have her default, and she can select Accounts Payable email signature when she uses her shared mailbox.
You need to create an email signature for each of your shared mailboxes - if they differ from your existing signatures.
Does it make sense? Will this work for you? _________________ </Jesper> | Test Email Signature | Showcase | |
