Symptom
When you run your spam filter report, you might not get reasons why your email signature was filtered.

Cause
Unfortunately, the filter providers don't always give reasons for why they have failed an email signature - any time we do get back reasons, you will see them right there in your reports.

Filter makers are understandably not keen on revealing how they work, but we agree it is pretty frustrating to get your email failed without any indication why.

Resolution
It would be worth trying to use linked images instead of embedded images and to reduce the number of links in your design, and see if your design still gets junked.

That can help you narrow down the problem area, which is usually an image or link in the email signature.

Outsmart Spam Filters: You're helped if your e-mail contains an e-mail signature

I was testing our Newsletter design in our Advanced Test Center to learn if it was caught in spam filters.
What I discovered is very interesting. If our e-mail contains an e-mail signature - since so many spam messages don't - we are more likely not to get flagged as spam.
