Create linked vCards based on users contact details in AD

The vCard Manager enables you to automatically create multiple VCF-files (known as Business Cards in Outlook 2007) based on users contact details in Active Directory.

You create a link to the business card from within your email signature which will be transferred to your web site automatically.

The recipients will always stay current with your contact details - No attachment Exclamation

Click image to see my vCard. Simply choose to open and save the file, and now you have my Outlook contact details saved Yes

Once the vCard Manager is licensed, you will need to decide where you want to put the VCF-files.

Simply put in the information you got from your webmaster and click the 'Deploy now' button. All cards will now automatically be deployed.

Now link to users vcf-files in the email signature
You want to create below link in the email signature:

Resolving username using ((AccountName)) from AD:
Code:
<table>
<tr>
       <td>Business Card:</td>
       <td><a href=http://www.emailsignature.eu/vcf/((AccountName)).vcf>Get my Outlook vCard</a></td>
</tr>
</table>

Hi Jesper.

Is this still the way you recommend vCard handling?
How are your experiences from customers who use it?

Hi Carsten,

If you mean linked vCards?
Then the answer is YES ... everyone wants to avoid attached vCard files for several reasons which I'm sure you are also familiar with ... Razz

If you mean the variable %AccountName%?
Then my answer is not that clear I'm afraid ... %AccountName% works for some clients - ((Display_name)) works for others ...

Does it answer your questions?
