Our signatures include our Logo inserted as a weblink. It has worked fine since I created it over a year ago. However, I just noticed that it is not working correctly for external e-mails. For internal e-mails the logo shows up just fine. For external e-mails, the logo is replaced with a red X and the logo file is an attachment.
Any idea why the link is getting replaced this way?

Here's the thing. If I send an e-mail to two recipients, one is external and one is internal. The Internal recipient sees the logo as a link, the external recipient sees it as an attachment. This used to work fine. I've tried this from several clients with the same result. It seems like it is a change being done on Exchange at transport.

The log file shows:
- The email signature delivered by eMailSignature to the users Outlook profile has linked images.
- No embedded images are registered.
- Running Beta version of Sign.exe 7.5.
- Running in Silent deployment mode and NO CHANGES are made on the clients
- Outlook 2003 used, but a strange note; 'Outlook 2010 name found'. This could come from the beta version of Sign.exe as I have not seen this before.
Please remove 'Silent deployment' as clients can have special settings causing the linked image to be embedded. Cockpit > Setup.
Also, please try and remove 'Word as Editor' in Cockpit > Signatures, Email Font.
WORKAROUND
If it worked before, then please revert back to the previous version of Sign.exe. No sure which version you came from and why you are testing the Beta, but latest version of Sign.exe is 7.3.
